PARENT SUPPORT GROUP CAN HELP
PSG provides a free support and
advice service helping you take control of your situation and enabling you to
cope with these difficult adolescent years.
SERVICES
HELPLINE
The
confidential supported telephone help line is staffed Monday to Friday,
offering emotional support in the first instance
and information as required.
There is an out
of hours answering machine and your call will be
returned.
ONE TO ONE SUPPORT
Confidential sessions with supervised, trained support
workers,
one-off
or ongoing, daytime or early evening.
DROP-IN
A weekly, peer facilitated group where parents/carers can meet with
others
experiencing similar concerns in a relaxed environment.
One-to-one sessions can be arranged at the Drop-In.
Trained staff are available.
LIVING WITH
CHALLENGING BEHAVIOUR COURSE
A structured course focusing on:
Positive Communication, Active Listening,
Boundary Setting and Coping
Strategies.
This course provides a safe and fun learning
environment
for parents/carers wishing to
develop their parenting skills
coupled with the opportunity to meet and discuss their
difficulties with others facing similar concerns.
